Dress for success

We are collecting Suits, Briefcases, Dress Shoes to support Dress for Success at all September & October events. For questions please contact Neva Murphy at nmurphy@moii.com The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. A special THANK YOU for all contributions thus far. We have made a significant impact through our Winter Wear collections to Artemis House and suit donations to benefit Dress for Success. Additionally, we are collecting Halloween Costumes for children all ages to support Artemis House. This year CREW NoVA will partner with Marymount University to treat the children of Artemis House Shelter to a night of Trick or Treating and festivities. Please contact Monica Tressler @ monica.tressler@cardinalbank.com with questions.

A “Green Tip” from CREW Northern Virginia

BYOP—Bring your own plates and cutlery to work. Throw in a few cloth napkins, too, if you can, and a reusable drink container made of recycled plastic (or better yet, recycled aluminum). Paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic forks, spoons, and knives have been a mainstay in the office for a long time, so it might be difficult at first to make the switch. Reusable dishes, drinkware, and cutlery can significantly cut down on paper waste and pollution.
