Chief Estimator, Balfour Beatty
Brian Polakowski has spent his 17-year career in the construction industry, starting with a focus on building façade systems worth nearly $500M in related scopes of work and progressively assuming additional responsibilities in becoming a Chief Estimator. His resume includes the National Museum of the Marine Corps Expansion, National Science Foundation Headquarters, 2100 Penn, 1000 Maine Ave, Avocet Tower, The Altaire, Capitol Crossing’s North Block, and Parcels 6/7 at The Wharf. Brian has recent wins in excess of $315M as Chief Estimator for the 2000/2001 S. Bell Street multi-family project for JBG Smith and Langley AFB F22 Low Observable Composite Repair Facility (LOCRF) for the US Army Corps of Engineers. During the Pandemic, Brian was instrumental in co-developing a cloud hosted “Virtual Bid Room” that allowed Balfour Beatty to perform bids while working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bradley University.
