CREW Northern Virginia's Young Professionals group is pleased to host a construction real estate panel of industry professional from various aspects of the business in a discussion of their individual roles in the
construction and real estate process and to learn how the different fields overlap.
Panelists include leaders from local developers, designers, construction and brokerage companies.

Sonja Shields, Associate Vice President at HGA Architects and Engineers
Sonja Shields has 30 years of experience as an Architect and holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, as well as the US Green Building Council and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Her range of expertise includes government office buildings, interior architecture, tenant improvement, construction administration, and programming and studies. The renovations of historic structures, office buildings, secure facilities, and educational facilities are a significant part of her diverse portfolio. In addition, Sonja has worked extensively with the General Services Administration and other US Government agencies.

Rebecca Nordby, Vice President at Balfour Beatty Construction
Rebecca Nordby brings 20 years of local experience leading complex construction projects in the D.C. area. With Balfour Beatty Construction, she has worked to deliver many projects in the District, including 2101 L Street NW and the design-build National Research Council for the National Academy of Sciences. Most notably, as project manager Ms. Nordby led the first phase of the high profile U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Rebecca worked for several years on the preconstruction effort for Property Group Partners on the Capitol Crossing project and is now the on site Vice President responsible for execution of the work. She holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in Construction from Penn State and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Kenyetta Price, Senior Property Manager at Boston Properties
Kenyetta Price-Jackson is a senior property manager for Phase I and Phase II of Reston Town Center. Kenyetta began her career in Class A office building management at Reston Town Center in 1999, then joined Boston Properties to manage 486,801 square feet of offices in Washington, D.C. in 2002. Kenyetta is now managing the buildings of Fountain Square, Freedom Square, and South of Market with more than 2 million square feet of Class A offices. In her role as Senior Property Manager, Kenyetta oversees overall operations and management of financials, tenant and vendor relations, and staff, while also sustaining strong connections with the local business community.
